Hi everyone! Was trying to
update my e-mail and stumbled upon this site. Wow - was happy to see so
many familiar names. Had a weekend away with four other CCC buddies at
the end of March. In attendance were June Mitchell Ingraham, Lindy
DeBoer Lauer, Jean Modzelewski Landen and Joyce Wilhelms Barthold. We
somehow pulled all of our schedules together and came up with a common
weekend. Our trip was to Mohonk Mountain House in new Paltz, NY. We had
gone there last year to celebrate our 50th birthdays. If you've never
been, check out their website. The surroundings are beautiful and there
is something for everyone including (but not limited to) hiking,
swimming, relaxing with spa treatments. It is an all inclusive resort
so we were also fed well. Anyway - hope that whoever reads this has as
many fond memories of Cedar Crest as I do. Would love to hear from
other fellow classmates. Be well! |

If it had not been for Donna
(Draft Parris), I don't think I would have graduated from Cedar Crest.
My Girl had my back and I had hers. We agreed in 1975 that no matter
what...we would graduate in 1979 and we were the only African American
women that began the journey in 1975 to graduate on May 20, 1979. She
sang like an angel and often gave me a personal concert singing my
favorite "Summer Time." I had just spoken with her in August 2007 and
she told me she was going to fight to live with all her might. I know
she did just that. Donna will forever live in my heart. When I walk the
halls of Butz while visiting the CCC campus, I know she will be there
with me whispering to me...I told you we were going to make it. God
Bless you my Dear Friend. Now you can sing "Summer Time" to the rest of
the angels. |

Time to update the old e-mail. It just dawned on me that the last post I made was 9 years ago! So much has changed since then. Sons Matthew (25) and his wife hve relocated back to New York and are settling into their home. Joe graduated from St. Bonaventure and is a LT. in the Army presently serving in Afghanistan with the 173rd Airborne after being stationed in Italy for a year. The youngest, Greg (21), is also wearing cammo and is serving in Iraq as an MP with his company from Ft. Lewis, WA. Please keep in touch and I'll see you all for the big one in a couple years! Start making plans now, cause its going to be a good time. |

Just stumbled on this site and had a great time reading it although the dates skew all over the place so it makes it hard to know what you're reading. My last posting said my kids were 10, 9, 7 and 4 1/2 and now they're 19, 18, 16 and 13 so there ya go. Currently President of my kids' high school PTO - a job I wouldn't have taken on without the experience of being the President of the Alumnae Association first! Being the local prez means you're buttonholed in the grocery store, at hockey games, etc. etc. All good though. Our oldest is a sophomore at the School of International Service at American in DC; second was accepted ED to Union College in Schenectady for 9/07. Two down, two to go. It's a ride... |

Son James seriously "into" acoustic and electric guitar. Tom still designing software for medical instrumentation (not that I understand any of that). Would love to hear from fellow CCCers, especially 3rd Center Curtis, the no-visitation hall (HA!)--NHC |

I would appreciate any news/whereabouts of my first room mate Kathy Casey (Butz Hall) who was from NJ. I would also appreciate contact for Janice Jervay of Philadelphia, PA. Just to update you about myself I am currently serving as a commissioner with the electoral commission of Kenya. This is a Presidential appointment. The main function of the commission is to conduct and supervise free and fair elections. This is a big challenge of which I am proud to be a part of for my country. |

Hello to all of my 1972 classmates. I am presently living in Michigan. My son is 17 years old and is presently looking at colleges. My daughter is 15 years old and just finished her freshman year of high school. Jum and I have been married for 26 years. Sorry I could not make the reunion. I am presently working as a Pre-K teacher in two different schools. Loved the reunion pictures. Don't we all look great! |
|
Sally Treitman Eisenberg |
This website is terrific! I attended our 30th reunion 2 weeks ago and enjoyed connecting with so many people. Richard and I have been married for 28 years and have a 22 year old daugther who is currently teaching 2nd grade and will attend Univ. of Penn. next year. I have been teaching Spanish in NJ for 30 years, and I still love it! |
|
Debby Terfinko |
Check out the homepage of the college's website and click on the news article about F.A.D.E.D. This is a project of my daughter's who is employed as a Residence Life Counselor at CCC. It's a great program and very interesting! Come to the next performance! |

What a great place to live and learn! |
|
Drena Kardashian Contreras |
Just stumbled on the website as I realized I had lost my CCC ring after all these years. I have been married 25 years, have 22 year-old twins daughters - one applying to law school, one to vet school, living in NY, taught for many years and have had my own card and gift store for seven years. Who would have thunk? Five years ago, when my girls were looking at colleges, we had to stop at CCC. My has it changed. They wondered about all the sculptures!! Hi to all from me...was it really that long ago? |
|
Linda Oleksiak Zembron |
Like Evan, I too find the need to be with friends and find out if all are well. Our family survived with no losses, physically, but mentally, everything has changed. I soon began emailing all that I thought might have been at the WTC. Thankfully all are present and accounted for. Please stay in touch. My Cedar Crest friends are my most cherished. Love to all, L. |

Doesn't seem at all possible that our 30th reunion is rapidly approaching! We're not that old are we?! Reunion last year was really a great time. It was fun being back on campus with so many, many CCC alums. |

Just lookin'! |

My first visit to the CCC web site ... it's great! Look forward to "coming back soon". |

Dianne Melnychuk |
After 29 years in academic libraries, 28 of
them at Cedar Crest in various positions, I have stepped off a very
high diving board into an exciting new realm. On July 5th I became
Cedar Crest's Director of Foundation and Corporate Giving. I am really
looking forward to making a significant contribution to the College in
my new position. My librarian's research skills will be of great use,
but there is no doubt I am venturing into a arena completely new to me!
Are there any other grantseekers out there? Would someone like to be a
mentor??? By the same token if anyone is affiliated with an
organization which can be a source of funding for Cedar Crest, Let me
know!! |
|
Judi Johnson Ferrara |
I'm now class correspondent and hope to hear from fellow classmates so we can have some updated news in the next Commentary. Please note my new e-mail address. We missed so many of you at the 25th reunion. Please write, e-mail, or call 610-565-6190. Hope to hear from some of you soon! |

Great to see the web site and to "hear" what other graduates are up to. Our oldest, Amanda, is a senior and has a classmate who will be going to Cedar Crest in the fall. That made me realize in a flash just how much time has passed! Amanda will be going to Mount Holyoke College and can hardly wait, her sister Allyson is a busy 11 year old. Hope to see friends at reunion. |

After 25 years of living in Delaware, we are

It's great to read all the messages. Our son Brian just completed his freshman yr at Lehigh and is a brother with Psi Upsilon. It's deja vu for us to be parents of a college student. Looking forward to the 25th reunion! We love coming back to the Lehigh Valley. |
|
Pat Ross Conover |
Excellent webpage! It's great to read about all that's happening at CCC. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the Reunion 2000! It doesn't seem at all possible that so many years have passed since we've all been together. See you in June! |
|
Linda Oleksiak Zembron |
This is great! It's so easy to say hello to anyone signed in. I've already heard from someone on the list. Our latest news is that our son, John will be attending Lafayette next year. The Valley is a great place to go to college! Hey Cresties! I would love to hear from you all. I'm in CT now and would love to hear from anyone. Maybe we can restart the CT chapter of the Alumnae Association. Anyone interested? Linda |

With a son looking at colleges I see a lot of college web sites. Cedar Crest's is one of the best! I'm the Director of the Maria Mitchell Association in Nantucket. Maria Mitchell was the first professional astronomer in the U.S. and the first woman inducted into the Americal Academy of Arts and Sciences. Check out our web site. |
|

Great web site! Enjoyed looking through it to see who has signed in. Went to CCC in Sept. for dedication of Miller building - unbelievable! All's well in Wilton,CT. Husband Scott great, Melissa is a freshman (gulp!) at Dartmouth, Greg is a freshman in high school and Steve is in 7th grade. They keep busy with sports and the social scene. LOVE to hear from CCC classmates. |

I am keeping busy with work and 3 kids. I love my job as clinical director of the Chemung County Health Department. The boys are Matt 16 (driving yikes!), Joey 14, and Greg 12. Guess no potential Cear Crest Alumnae here. We keep busy every day with practice, games etc. I think about you all often. |

This is great! Class of 1977: send me your news for the next edition of the Exchange. It will be a wonderful way to keep in touch, not to mention quick and convenient... I know how valuable our time is! Greetings to all of my CCC friends from 1973 on! Congrats, Sue and Barbara Ann. This is a great site! |
|
Evan Reichlin Skinner |
Twenty-two years ago I had only laughing contempt for the Cindy Cedar Crest's who ran the show...in three weeks I'lll become the President of the Alumnae Association! One of the many, many lessons of age and maturity is make no predictions about how the future will come out. My work with CCC has been and promises to be one the most rewarding aspects of my very full life. Balancing the needs of 4 kids ages 10, 9, 7 and 4 1/2 with my husband's, my own, volunteerism, an active athletic schedule, etc.etc...How much of that is possible because of the positive grounding I got at Cedar Crest. If anyone has questions or suggestions about the Association or what's happening here (there?), I'd love to hear from you. Not to mention my friends from (way too many) years ago. |
|
Ayhan Oktem Ege |

I have been wondering how to find the email addresses for my fellow classmates. How wonderful to find this guestbook at the CCC website. Great! I would be interested in getting back in touch with everyone from my years at CCC. Where are all of you? I miss the contact from being class correspondent. Is anyone going to the big event this coming June? I am in IL. outside of Chicago, if anyone is in this area, let me know. All is well with myself and my family. Son, Tim is in college, and daughter Melissa is looking at colleges to attend. I work at a local college, so you see what the main emphasis of my life is at the moment. Take care. |
