Hi everyone - it's Tina Perrotta, 2001 grad. My friend Danielle Murray-Frey '99 has been urging me to write something - so here I am. Let's see...I've been working as a newspaper reporter since 2000; first with the Messenger-Gazette (full-time), then the Courier News, Cranford Chronicle and most recently, the Warren Reporter as a freelance writer. For three years (2004-2007) I worked as an inner-city school teacher in Newark. Now work full-time at the National Association of Fleet Administrators in Princeton. I'm second in command in their communications department; creating newsletters and stories for the magazine. I also freelance for newspapers and a communications company in Jersey city. And, last my boyfriend, Steve, and I got a house - an old farm house on 250 acres. Oh, yeah, he's also a licensed pilot (and flight instructor) and we usually spend our weekends flying around NJ and PA - so if you hear a close plane overhead it might be us. Well if anyone wants to find me, my email addres is perrottatina@hotmail.com. Miss ya'll. Tina

Hello ladies! Lots has changed since my last post. We moved back. The Poconos were just a little too rural for us! So I'm back to work part-time and enjoying our crazy girls. Avery is going to be 4 in December and Natalie turned 1 in May. There's nothing better than watching them learn how to be sisters. Drop me a line!

Attn CCC! In just a few weeks I am participating in a 150 mile bike ride to help raise research money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society! This will be the longest ride that I have ever done! Please help me reach my fundraising goals by donating at the link at the bottom of the page. Thanks so much for your support! Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. That's why I registered for the MS Bike Ride, and why I'm asking you to support my fund raising efforts with a tax-deductible donation. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effectsof MS but they can't do it without our help. It's faster and easier than ever to support this cause that's so important to me. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message. If you prefer, you can send your contribution to the address listed below. Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of people with MS. I appreciate your support and look forward to letting you know how I do. P.S. If you would like more information about the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, how proceeds from the MS Bike Ride are used, or the other ways you can get involved in the fight against MS, please visit www.nationalmssociety.org. click here to visit my personal pade. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?ps=3051867&pg=personal&fr_id=6180&s_tafld=12721

Hi everyone! I write this as I'm on my way out to close my last show for the summer - the Lehigh Valley Premiere of Disney's High School Musical. Joanellyn Schubert (2001) and I worked on it together for 3 weeks! Anyway - just wanted to say I will actually be attending the Alumnae Council this year - the first time since I graduated. So if there are any other 2001 class officers debating to come for it - please join me! And feel free to crash at my house.

Hi Ladies! I hope this finds you all well. Life just keeps moving by so quickly - I have been working as a Clinical Supervisor in an emergency shelter for adolescents for over a year and love it. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in about 5 weeks and are anxiously awaiting his or her arrival. After the baby's birth I will stay at home with the baby and do contracted clinical social work with private practices and other facilities. I am not sure if I will make reunion, but wish all of you the best!

Since graduation...I saw a few people (Abby, Beth, Andrea Mellowe) now and again. But not recently and a lot has changed. My partner and I will celebrate our five year anniversary in 2006. Five wonderful years I might add. We bought a home on the West End of Allentown and are enjoying our space. In September, we rescued a Yellow Lab. His name is Ceasar. We also have three Siamese cats. So, as for our family...we are complete. I received my Masters in Sociology from Lehigh University in 2003. I am working as a Quality Assurance Specialist for KidsPeace National Centers, which I enjoy very much. I am contemplating going for my Ph.D., or another Masters (in Business). I have to admit I miss being in school (or the gaining of new knolwedge that is). I will be celebrating my 30th birthday in 2006, which I am looking forward to. Overall, life has been great to me and I am enjoying it thoroughly. Namaste.

Hello Cedar Crest. It was nice reading what everyone is up to. My life sounds very similar to everyone elses. Got married in June...went to New Orleans right before the hurricane hit and had an opportunity to see its history. We then got stuck at sea on our cruise ship due to another hurricane and had to skip a stop in Grand Caymon to stay ahead of the storm. Doug and I are both hoping that this is not a sign for the future....Ha! We did meet up with maid of honor and fellow CCC graduate Liz Ortiz in Mexico with her husband, so the trip was not a total disaster. No kids yet...too nervous and not anxious to gain another 50 pounds...love teaching art, where I have been for several years, at a school in Harrisburg. Looking for a bigger house to start our family in the future...we adopted a dog to start...his name is wiz...want to guess why?Lets just say he's lucky he is cute, because he is working my last nerve...it would be great to hear from everyone...send me a line...so who thinks they are heading to reunion????

Hello All! Just a brief update on life! I'm still living in "smalltown" Ohio - "Stupidville" - I mean, Steubenville. I'm not far from Pittsburgh, PA (where I grew up). I am finally being true to myself and admitting who I really am to myself. (Aren't you supposed to truly find yourself in college?!) I am currently in the midst of moving - my landlord is becoming increasingly weird (coming in unannounced, moving things, taking things, claiming I owe my neighbor for her electric bill - yeah, that one was completely bizarre to me too.) I found a lovely townhouse in Toronto, OH and plan to be in before December. I'm almost afraid to give my 30 day notice to my current landlord, given his recent bizarre behavior. Any suggestions? I keep in touch with several CCC alumns - not as often as I'd like - but that's life. I hope to plan a trip to the campus next spring - hopefully for reunion - if anyone is going, please drop me a line! Life is strange and beautiful when you start to become comfortable in your own skin. I have made many great friends in the past few years in Ohio, but not as many great ones as those made at CCC. Miss you ladies! Love, Kristen

So hello to everyone! It seems impossible that so much time has passed, but as usual life goes on! So this year has been an exciting year for both myself and some close friends. Two of my closest friends from CCC are engaged to be married and in June I joined their ranks as well!! My fiance and I have moved to a bigger apartment just outside of King of Prussia and I got a new car early this year. The year has been spent running back and forth from family and friends. Both Nate and I have gotten promotions at work this year and it looks to be a busy second half of the year as well! I hope to hear from some old CC friends!

Hey everyone! Well, I did it, I'm a married woman. My husband Michael and I were married in Ocala, Florida on June 10. It was a small but beautiful service followed by much music and dancing (would we have it any other way?). Jennifer Jones Mease '97 was my matron of honor. After the wedding, we spent a week in Savannah, Georgia. Now it's time to start preparing for the school year to begin again (teachers go back August 2!) so we will be very busy. I look forward to hearing from all my CCC buds! Peace, Cate.

Hi everyone! I thought I would post an update on my life. I am currently living in Middletown, NJ with my fiance, David. We are to be married on May 21, 2006. Thank you to one of my old roomies for introducing us. I am working at Middlesex County College as the Assistant Manager/Text Manager of Blue Colt Bookstore. Dave and I have a one year old who is black and stands on 4 legs. Shelby is half lab and half boxer and all energy. My spare time is spent planning the wedding and fixing up the house we have. It is good to see some people I know in the guestbook and would love to hear from anyone.

I can't come to Reunion 2005 due to already having plans for most of the weekend. So here's my life in a nutshell for anyone who's interested and wants to catch up. As fas as I am concerned, I moved back to Randolph, NJ, after graduating in December 2000 (went for 4 1/2 years - why kill yourself in 4) - majored in Business Administration. After the new year, I found a job at a fashion eyewear company near my home as a travel coordinator/sales admin asst. I loved my job and loved what I did, but it wasn't meant to be. After 16 months, they eliminated my position. I was shocked and heartbroken; I'd made a lot of friends there. They did it at the end of the day so I didn't get to say goodby to many people. I was out of work for five months but I finally found a job on the local army base (Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway, NJ). I'm not working for the government but for a contractor who is doing nonmilitary work for them. I am an admin asst in the safety and health department, and we do intertwined work with the government workers and share office space with them. So that's where I am today. My boss, the safety supervisor, recently quit in July and one of my good friends from work has moved up into the position so it's a little weird. He's a free-spirited native American Indian and he does what he wants when he wants and it's really hard keeping track of him! And I just found out that his boss, our Risk Manager, is leaving. So now I have to figure out if there's a better way to keep track of my boss cause now I'm going to need to know exactly where he is at all times! I keep saying that I think I'll ask Martha Stewart for her ankle bracelet when she's done with it! Not much else is new with me; no boyfriend as of yet, but I do know this one guy from Jewish singles events who's really nice and likes me. I have been going to Puerto Rico a lot with the family. My dad works down there sas an independent consultant with a group working for a pharmaceutical company who has plants down there. He has an apartment there (right on the beach) and everything. It's nice for my mom to have someone in the house with her here in NJ but the house is falling apart since my dad spends most of his time down there and only comes home on weekends. My brother finished his first year of med school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. He has his own apartment and is enjoying school. My mom is still a special ed asst teacher by day and a Hebrew school teacher three afternoons a week. Hope to hear from you soon and keep in touch. Email me!

Hey all! Just wanted to write and give you updates on what's new with me. I currently work in interior design, which I never thought I'd get into, but I absolutely love. I also teach dance a few nights a week (hip hop), but I really miss modern dance. It brings back a lot of what I learned from my angel, Carol Kelly. I plan on taking a few classes in strictly modern after the Christmas season when things die down a bit. Otherwise, that's pretty much the most updated information I have on myself. I moved back home to the Philly area, which I love. I guess we will see where life takes me next.

Hi all. Just a little update on what I have been up to since graduation three years ago. I finished my MFA in dance at Florida State University this summer, now I am directing the dance program at Belleview High School in Ocala, Florida. I am loving every exhausting moment of it. I have plans to start a special teacher training program at the school, should be exciting. My pets (a dog and three cats) keep my time occupied as well. I guess I never would have imagined staying in Florida (I miss PA) but this was a great opportunity for me to share my passion of dance with future dancers. Well I guess that is about all for now. Email me!

Have you found yourself interacting with any current college students, only to begin reminiscing on your days at CCC? I recently had lunch with my former intern and she was telling me about campus activities, classes, professors, etc....and I found myself thinking about CCC and the professors there that I missed the most. Here are my thoughts and memories...I'm interested in knowing if anyone out there agrees, disagrees, or has memories of their own that they'd like to share! Please feel free to email me as well!
One of the reasons I chose Cedar Crest as my college was for the individual attention from professors as well as the feeling of "home" that the campus provides students. The professors that had the most impact on me as a student were Dr. Brancato, Dr. Pulham, Dr. Meade, Dr. Moyer and Maynard...
Dr. Brancato was more than "just a professor" - he was also a great friend! Amazingly, he was able to treat us as students, equals/peers, and friends...seemingly interchangeably...yet, he was stern and professional when needed.
Dr. Pulham, Dr. Meade and Dr. Moyer were three of the most empowered, knowledgeable women that I had the privledge of studying under while at Cedar Crest.
Dr. Pulham was enthusiastic about Chaucer...she was incredible in the classroom for Linguisitcs...and always very thoughtful and interested in her students.
Dr. Meade ws a force to be reckoned with on Philosophy...My Philosophy of Women class with Dr. Meade was perhaps the most intersting and informative philosophy class...she was incredible with the amount of knowledge and understanding for philosophy - and the ability to break it down and TEACH it to her students...not just to enable us to pass a class, but to TEACH it to us for a life lesson.
Dr. Moyer was absolutely INCREDIBLE! She had this ability to act out mental illnesses in a way that made you laugh out loud and LEARN at the same time! Not only is she an incredibly gifted athlete and professor, but she was an incredibly gifted person! Her classes were incredible! Although I only had her for one class, she made a lasting impression on me and many of my peers!
Maynard...well, all of you know, Maynard is Maynard! I only had one class with him, but he made a lasting impression on me! It was one of those "core classes" that you just don't know that you WANT to take, but you HAVE to in order to graduate...well, Maynard made you GLAD that you signed up for the course, and made your friends JEALOUS that you were going to his class and they weren't!
There were many other gifted professors at Cedar Crest...as well as staff members.(WE LOVE YOU ELOUISE!)
Remember, in the age of technology, refuse to numb yourself to individualized attention, instead embrace it...you never know what you'll learn by "interfacing" with a real, live person!

Greetings from Ohio! Just wanted to drop a note to all of my CCC friends to say hello! I've been living in "Smalltown, OH" for nearly 2 years now - to think that we thought life at CCC in Allentown, PA was bad! *HA* I am making new friends and establishing a sense of community...I find myself missing CCC more and more with each passing day! I can't believe that it will be 2 years next month since the class of 2001 last laughed together on the steps of the Admin, walked through the quad as a class, and descended the stage as a new grad! To all of the current CCC students - good luck ladies! Cherish your memories and those time-honored traditions! Time will pass all too quickly and try as you might, you can never really recapture your college days! Love, Kristen

Greetings ladies! After graduation, I made my way west to St. Louis and in December, 2002 earned my MSW from Washington University. I'm now working for the State of Missouri in the Department of Mental Health and loving it! I just wish I actually had to do one of Maynard's synopses in graduate school! I kept waiting, but I never had to do a single one. I'd love to hear from other social work grads out there!

Hi everyone! After temping with Buckeye Pipe Line in Emmaus for seven months I landed my dream job! And a CCC grad of 2000 hired me! We'll be starting a new year in about half an hour, so I decided to sign the guestbook and let you all know what's going on with me! My email address is PShoshana@aol.com. Feel free to write! I am still in New Jersey with my folks and saving money. I now work for the government at Picatinny Arsenal here in NJ. Well, not really for the government but for a support services group that has a contract with them to do nonmilitary work for the arsenal. I am the Safety Administrative Assistant, and so far I love it! I've only been there since December 9th, after I worked 16 months at a fashion eyewear company after graduation in December 2000. Other than that, things are going well. Was so sorry to hear about Dr. Honig's death, even though I never had him. Will always remember his and Dr. Moyer's skits at Student Faculty Frolic! Keep in touch! -- Paula

I recently returned home to Tallahassee after a week long return to Cedar Crest.  I was one of the two Alum (along with Mandy Lawrence 2001) who returned to once again dance on the CCC stage.  We were part of the original cast of Promise, a piece choreographed by the late, C. Welton K.   This was an amazing celebration of Carol's life and work.  She will be missed greatly, that is not a secret, but her legacy lives on.  If you have stories about Carol that you would like to share I would love to hear them, please email them to me.  My heart breaks when I think about future generations of dancers who will never know Carol or experience her love of dance.  Carol does live on through the strengths of the current dance faculty; Robin, Betsy, Margo, Nicole, and Patty, and the unique strengths that are within the Dance Major.

I want to thank the faculty and current students for allowing me the wonderful chance to dance once again for Carol.  I am so looking forward to hearing of the wonderful experiences that I'm sure will be coming to dance majors like; Susie Anhorn, Mimi Boyarsky, Heather Brannen, Tiph Ghares, Lisa Knapp, Caryn Lutz, Jaime Kuhns, Sara Mahoney, Cassie Mora, and Jamie Swartwood.  Mark my words, these phenomenal womyn will be going far and making exciting futures for themselves in the dance world.  Yes, Carol does live on through each of us!
Much love,
Cate

I wanted to send a hello out there to all of the family from Cedar Crest.  I miss you all terribly, and I regret my having to leave the college every minute.  I spent the summer of 1998 teaching learning disabled students in Colorado. I then took a year off from college and did a teaching internship working with dyslexic students at The Kildonan School in Amenia, NY.  I am now into my junior/senior year at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic, CT.  I am hoping for a December 2001 graduation.
I hope everyone has been well.  I have left my Email address so that any of my "long lost friends" can get in contact with me.  Hope to hear from some of you soon.
