CABRINI COLLEGE HANDS CEDAR CREST LOSS IN PAC BASKETBALL ACTION
Radnor, PA (December 1, 2007) – The Cabrini College women’s basketball team handed Cedar Crest College an 83-33 loss in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the Dixon Center.
The Falcons trailed by just one point at the 13:26 mark in the first half when freshman Lauren Seale nailed a three-pointer on a pass from freshman Keri Lasky to make it an 8-7 game.
Cabrini then went on a 19-2 run over the next nine minutes of the first half to bring the score to 32-9 with 4:31 remaining.
The Cavaliers headed into the locker rooms holding a 42-18 advantage over the visiting Falcons.
Cabrini capitalized on 13 Cedar Crest turnovers to maintain the lead in the second half of play.
Junior Sarah Campbell led the Falcons with a season-high 10 points and a team-high four rebounds. Seale and Lasky each posted eight points and combined for five steals on the afternoon.
Kate Walck led the Cavaliers with 14 points, while Nikki Duggan came off the bench to add 12 points.
Cedar Crest falls to 2-4 (0-2 PAC) on the season, while the Cavaliers improve to 3-1 (2-0 PAC). The Falcons will host PAC foe Marywood University on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
