OAKES RECOGNIZED IN FINAL NCAA STATISTICS

Indianapolis (March 6, 2008) – Sophomore Kelly Oakes (Wilmington, DE/ Delcastle Tech) was recognized in the National College Athletic Association’s end-of-the-year statistics, finishing 11th in the nation in rebounding. 

Oakes ranks 11th in the nation and first in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, averaging 12.2 rebounds per game.  She also averaged 12.0 points per game and posted a team-best 123 assists this season.  Oakes had a career- and team-high 14 double-doubles this season.

Oakes was named the PAC Co-Player of the Week in the week ending on November 26 and to the PAC Honorable Mention on the week ending December 9.

The Falcons finish the season with a 6-19 overall record and a 1-15 finish in the PAC.
