CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Rachel Orlen (Robbinsville, NJ/Highstown HS) was named the Cedar Crest Athlete of the Week for her performance in the week ending October 8.

Orlen tops the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s Division III in saves and saves per game, as listed on the NCAA’s field hockey website. 

Orlen has posted 177 saves in 11 games to rank first in the country.  Orlen also ranks third in the country with 16.09 saves per contest.    

Orlen posted a career-high 37 saves in a 9-0 loss to Marywood last Wednesday afternoon in Scranton, PA. 

The Falcons will be back in action on Thursday, October 11 when they host Gwynedd-Mercy College at 4:00 p.m.
