Oakes, Smith, and Shivley have been selected for embodying the mission of the PAC and promoting team sportsmanship throughout the season.
Oakes, a middle blocker from Wilmington, DE, was a team captain of the 2007 volleyball squad and a previous 2006 All-PAC Honorable Mention selection. She led the team with 191 kills this season, averaging 2.27 kills per game.
Smith, a forward from New Tripoli, PA, scored one goal and tallied one assist for the soccer team this season. She notched the game-winner in a 3-1 victory over Penn State Berks on September 18.
Shivley, a No. 2 singles competitor from Allenstown, NJ, posted a 7-5 record at the No. 2 singles position this season. She also went 6-6 at the No. 1 doubles slot with senior Colleen Ford. Shivley helped lead the Falcons to 12 wins this season, which tops an 11-year old school record of nine wins in a season set by the 1996 PAC Championship team. Cedar Crest also broke the school record for most PAC wins in a season. The Falcons won six PAC games in 1996, 1997, and 2006. The 2007 team boasted seven PAC wins.
