SOCCER DROPS  1-0 DECISION TO PENN STATE ABINGTON IN SEASON OPENER

Abington, PA (September 1, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Penn State Abington in its season opener on Saturday afternoon.

Joanna Sabate scored at the 41:00 mark to give PSU Abington the advantage over the Falcons. 

Caitlyn Little made six saves in goal for Cedar Crest.  PSU and Cedar Crest each posted nine shots on goal in the contest, with PSU holding a six to one advantage in corner kicks. 

The Falcons fall to 0-1 on the season, while PSU Abington improves to 1-0. 

Cedar Crest will host Valley Forge Christian College on Wednesday, September 5 at 4:00 p.m.
