SMITH LEADS COMEBACK AS SOCCER DEFEATS KEYSTONE COLLEGE

La Plume, PA (September 17, 2007) – Senior Hilary Smith scored two goals to lead Cedar Crest College to a 2-1 victory over host Keystone College in non-conference action on Monday afternoon. 

Kelli Brago got the scoring started just 4:17 into the contest on an unassisted tally to give Keystone the early 1-0 lead.  Smith tied the game, 1-1, on a penalty kick just 14 seconds before halftime. 

Smith fired in the game-winner 11:30 into the second half on another penalty kick. 

Keystone outshot the Falcons, 27-12 and held a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks. 

Freshman Amy Stumpff made 13 saves in the net for Cedar Crest, while Ashley Zuidema posted six saves.

The Falcons improve to 2-4 on the season and will host Alvernia College at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action.
