CEDAR CREST TENNIS WINS THIRD STRAIGHT; DEFEATS COLLEGE OF NOTRE DAME

Baltimore, MD (September 23, 2007) – The Cedar Crest tennis team won its third match in a row with a 6-3 victory over Pennsylvania Athletic Conference opponent the College of Notre Dame on Sunday afternoon. 

Sophomore Maria Mallery and freshman Alex Kuebler improve to 8-0 in the No. 2 doubles spot with an 8-4 victory over Marie Santiago and Roxy Beyrahvand. 

Senior Colleen Ford and sophomore Laura Shivley earned another win in the No. 1 doubles slot, while sophomore Sara Messner and freshman Sarah Schopf defeated Alison Najewicz and Casey Pollard in the No. 3 doubles spot.

Mallery, Kuebler, and Ford each posted singles victories at the No. 1, 3, and 6 spots, respectively.  Ford has improved to a team-best 7-1 on the season at the No. 6 . 

Cedar Crest improves to 7-1 (3-1 PAC) on the season and will host Gwynedd-Mercy College on Tuesday, September 25 at 4:00 p.m.
