GWYNEDD-MERCY TOPS CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL

Gwynedd Valley, PA (September 11, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Gwynedd-Mercy College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Griffins (2-3 Overall, 1-0 PAC) outlasted Cedar Crest by scores of 30-22, 30-19, and 30-19 in the league opener.

Freshman Lauren Seale led the Falcons with six kills, 13 assists, and eight digs, while freshman Danielle Niles posted a team-high 11 digs and classmate Keri Lasky notched 10. 

Leading the way for the Griffins was sophomore LeighAnn DuAime with 12 kills. DuAime also added four service aces, four digs, and three blocks. Junior Monica Taylor and sophomore Jessica Rufe each added eight kills apiece.

Cedar Crest is now 2-4 (0-1 PAC) on the season and will host Wesley College at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13.
