CROSS COUNTRY TAKES THIRD PLACE AT 6K MARYWOOD INVITATIONAL

Scranton, PA (September 1, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team posted a strong third place showing at the 6K Marywood Invitational on Saturday afternoon. 

Sophomore Tasha Jones led the Falcons with a seventh place finish in a time of 26:34.71, while senior Lauren Sanders notched a 16th place finish in a time of 28:26.05. 

Freshman Kristen Geisinger and graduate student Renee Crane finished in 17th and 18th place respectively in 28:40.40 and 28:48.73.  Junior Thersia Ault rounded out the top 20 in a time of 30:49.35. 

Cedar Crest amassed 68 team points, behind Marywood (20) and Stevens Institute of Technology (46).  Bloomfield College (111) and Immaculata University (124) rounded out the top five. 

The Falcons will travel to the Keystone Invitational on Saturday, September 9.
