CROSS COUNTRY TAKES FOURTH PLACE AT 6K KEYSTONE INVITATIONAL

La Plume, PA (September 8, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team finished in a close fourth place at the 6K Keystone Invitational on a hot and muggy Saturday afternoon at Keystone College. 

Senior Lauren Sanders ended in the top spot for Cedar Crest with a 10th place finish overall in a time of 31:06.  Sophomore Tasha Jones tailed Sanders to notch 11th place overall in a time of 31:23. 

Graduate student Renee Crane finished in 14th place overall with a time of 31:43 and freshman Kristen Geisinger added an 18th place finish in a time of 33:26.  Sophomore Molly Bair made the best finish of her college career in the 22nd spot overall with a time of 34:17. 

Wilmington College took the top spot of the day with 42 team points.  Cedar Crest amassed 75 team points, just behind King’s College (71) and host Keystone College (74).  Baptist Bible (102), Wells College (144), Immaculata University (165), and Penn State Harrisburg (202) rounded out the top scorers.  Centenary College and Lackawanna College did not score. 

The Falcons will host the Cedar Crest/Muhlenburg Classic on Saturday, September 15 at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of Cedar Crest College.
