FALCONS TAKE NINTH PLACE FINISH AT COUGAR CLASSIC INVITATIONAL
Dallas, PA (September 22, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team took a ninth place finish at the Cougar Classic Invitational hosted by Misericordia University on Saturday afternoon at the Byron Property.
Sophomore Tasha Jones snagged 18th place overall and first for the Falcons in a personal best time of 21:50 on the 5K course. Senior Lauren Sanders notched a 31st place finish overall and second for Cedar Crest in a time of 22:35.
Freshman Kristen Geisinger added a 37th place finish in a personal best time of 23:11, while graduate student Renee Crane finished in 40th place overall with a time of 23:21
Moravian College took the top spot of the day with 68 team points. The University of Scranton and Delaware Valley College finished neck-in-neck with 97 and 99 points, respectively. Misericordia University (110), Keystone College (115), DeSales University (121), SUNY Delhi (142), Lebanon Valley College (154), and Cedar Crest (175) rounded out the scoring. Centenary College did not score.
The Falcons will travel to Cabrini College on Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action.
