ADAM NETS HAT TRICK IN LOSS TO NEUMANN COLLEGE
Allentown, PA (April 19, 2008) – Senior Bri Adam posted a hat trick in her final home game as a Falcon, but it would not be enough as the Cedar Crest College lacrosse team fell, 14-5, to Neumann College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomores Amanda Dombroski and Bailey Bedell each added a goal for the Falcons.
Neumann scored the first goal of the contest at the 25:05 mark before Adam took a pass from sophomore Kelly Oakes to even the score, 1-1. The Knights then went on a 7-0 run until the end of the first half to make it, 8-1 at halftime.
The Knights opened the scoring in the second half before Adam posted an unassisted tally at the 18:00 minute mark to get the Falcons on the board early in the second half. Neumann posted three more goals before Dombroski posted a goal with 9:16 remaining. The Knights would score once more until Bedell and Adam scored back-to-back goals with just under three minutes remaining. Neumann would score once more to end the contest.
The Knights were led by Gabby D’Ambrosio who tallied five goals and one assist.
The Falcons fall to 2-12 (1-8 PAC) on the season, while Neumann improves to 6-7 (5-3 PAC).
Cedar Crest will travel to the College of Notre Dame on Tuesday, April 22 for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
