CEDAR CREST SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH CABRINI IN PAC PLAY

Radnor, PA (April 12, 2008) – Junior pitcher Allison Holland threw two complete games as the Cedar Crest College softball team split with Cabrini College in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.   

The Falcons dropped game one, 2-1, while taking a 2-1 victory in the nightcap. 

Junior Allison Holland took the loss in game one, striking out three batters, allowing seven hits and two earned runs.  Junior Sarah Campbell led the Falcons at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a homerun, which provided Cedar Crest with its lone run of the game. 

Holland earned the win in game two, striking out five batters, allowing five hits, and one earned run.  Senior Mel Devlin went 3-for-3 from the plate to lead Cedar Crest.  Junior Alyssa Kabat hit her first homerun of the season, while sophomore Maria Mallery went 2-for-3 from the plate. 

The Falcons are now 12-12 overall (7-7 PAC), while Cabrini is 12-17 (8-6 PAC) on the season. 

Cedar Crest will travel to Northampton Community College on Tuesday, April 15 at 3:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
