A Few Places to Keep in Mind

There are many services that are available to all students at Cedar Crest College. We would like to list a few of them here that may be especially of interest and importance to you.

Academic Services
(Room 213, the Administration Building)

The mission of Academic Services at Cedar Crest College is to assist you in developing the skills and strategies to become confident, independent, successful, and active learners. This important resource on our campus provides academic support services of peer and professional tutors, instructional assistants, advising, accommodations for students with disabilities, orientation programming, retention efforts, study skills instruction, English as Second Language (ESL) instruction. Academic Services will help you during your transition to a college learning environment.

Keep in mind that the resources of Academic Services are inclusive, comprehensive, and available to all of our students at no charge.

Services

Health and Counseling Services

The Health Center, located on the first floor of Curtis Hall, is dedicated to providing you with a variety of medical and counselingrelated services. The center coordinates physician, nursing and counseling services in order to promote physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of students. You may call extension 3476 to set up an appointment, or you may simply walk in during the daily office hours. The Center is open from 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. In case of an emergency, or if you need medical care after the hours, you may simply dial “0” to contact campus security.

Some of the services provided are:

Physical examination
Allergy injections
Laboratory studies
Assessment of physical and psychological concerns
Referral to specialists
