A Strong History of Nursing Education
Nursing has been part of the Cedar Crest curriculum for decades. In 1974 we became one of the first colleges in eastern Pennsylvania to offer a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing.
Over the years we’ve continually updated the program—for example, adding options for nontraditional students—in response to changing trends and needs. In 2008 we began the Master of Science in Nursing program with tracks in nursing education and nursing administration. Undergraduates benefit in a college offering graduate-level study; it helps attract top-quality faculty and research opportunities.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs at Cedar Crest College are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, Georgia 30326, 404-975-5000, http://acenursing.org.
