Long Range Exhibition
Cedar Crest College presents Long Range, an exhibition featuring the works of Beverly Fisher, from now through Oct.12 in the Center for Visual Research in the Miller Family Building. An artist reception and talk is scheduled tonight, September 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The reception will take place in the Harmon Hall of Peace, directly outside the gallery.
Fisher specializes in drawings and installations. At her artist reception, and on display through October, she will be showing ten ink drawings that appear to be silhouettes with some areas becoming so dense they create new shapes on the surface. Cedar Crest gallery coordinator, Brian Wiggins, said that "these are 'quiet' drawings and take patience to digest. I've found them to be open even though they're abstractions. The sense of movement through the contour of lines, the morie' pattern, is quite enjoyable."
