Artist in Residence Workshop
The Artist in Residence Workshop program at Cedar Crest is connected to our printmaking, papermaking and book arts studio areas. Each semester, the art department invites an artist to visit Cedar Crest for an extended period of time to work in our studio on a specific project.
The program benefits both student and professional artists alike in the following ways:
- It exposes Cedar Crest students to the working methods of a professional artist.
- It brings students in contact with working artists as they aid and facilitate students in their artistic process.
- It provides opportunities for professional artists to research and develop their own practice.
- It encourages professional artists to explore ideas and processes within the academic context.
