Ceramics

First-Year Art Scholarships

Art scholarships of $1500 per year are awarded to incoming first-year students with a strong commitment to the creative process both in making art and in looking at historical works of art. A portfolio review is required. To maintain their scholarship, recipients are required to take a minimum of 3 credits in studio art or art history courses each semester. This is available to students of any academic major.

The Ruth Rebecca Ayers Junior Award

This award is given to the rising senior who in her three years at Cedar Crest has made the most significant contribution to the arts. The award is given in memory of Ruth Rebecca Ayers ’39.

Howard Agar Memorial Prize

This award is given to a senior in any discipline who has demonstrated significant ability in the studio arts.
