Business Chair Featured on PA CPA Journal

Ibolya Balog, CPA and Chair of the Business, Management, and Economics Department, was recently featured in a Pennsylvania CPA Journal video to discuss the role of ethics in the CPA profession.

Ibolya Balog is a former chair of the Committee on Professional Ethics of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of The CPA Journal editorial board. She is a past president of Lehigh Valley Chapter of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a past president of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. She currently serves on the boards of not-for-profit organizations in the fields of human services, the arts and professional services.

Ibi credits her years of experience in the private sector for her abilities to teach and mentor students today. The continued professional education that is required for maintaining a CPA license also keeps her focused on the technical changes in accounting standards and tax laws, as well as on the CPA code of conduct and ethical standards that are expected of people who serve the public interest.
