Here are some of the awards available to students in our program:

CHEMISTRY

DeLap-Holcomb Award: Presented to the graduating senior chemistry or biochemistry major with the highest GPA by Rho Xi Chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon.

Roy W. Sonntag Award: Presented to the most active chapter member of the Rho Xi Chapter of Gamma Sigma Epsilon.

Congratulations to Amber Fontanez, the 2015 Roy W. Sonntag Awardee!!

American Chemical Society Award: Given by the Lehigh Valley Section of the ACSAmerican Chemical Society to college seniors who have attained the highest average in chemistry.

Congratulations to Michaela Ortiz, the 2015 American Chemical Society Awardee!!!

American Institute of Chemists Award: Given by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Chemists to the student showing the most promise in chemical research.

Congratulations to Angelica Graver, the 2015 American Institute of Chemists Awardee!!!

John R. Griswold Award in Organic Chemistry: Given in the fall semester by the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences in honor of the former department chair, John R. Griswold, to the student with the highest academic achievement in Organic Chemistry I and II.

FORENSIC SCIENCE

The Outstanding Forensic Science Senior Award: The award is presented to the outstanding senior in the Forensic Science program. The award is based on excellence in academics, active participation in the Forensic Science Student Organization and professional involvement.

The Forensic Science Graduate Student Award: This award is presented to the Master of Science in Forensic Science student with the highest GPA.

George Neighbor Memorial Scholarship: This award is presented by the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists.

Carol DeForest Memorial Research Grant: This award is presented by the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists.
