Senior Seminar

The senior seminar for communication majors at Cedar Crest College encourages you to think outside the box: This project can be a great way to explore your passions.

All students with a major in the communication department will complete a senior seminar, which consists of either a thesis or a capstone project.

During recent senior seminars, students have:

  • Organized concerts
  • Planned nonprofit fundraisers
  • Designed and published Websites and magazines
  • Conducted professional research projects in gender studies and public relations

Though each student completes an individual project, seminar students meet weekly to offer feedback and support on projects.

Senior seminar offers you a chance to explore many different areas of communication—from advertising and PR (to promote events) to writing and proofreading.

It also allows you to sharpen your critical thinking skills and combine four years of learning experience into one great project.
