Professor Earns High Marks for Theater Performances
Cedar Crest College's Tim Brown, associate professor of performing arts, has received recognition for his recent performance in Doubt: A Parable, which was performed at the Pennsylvania Playhouse in Bethlehem this past June.
Doubt: A Parable, focuses on the issue of suspected child abuse in the Roman Catholic Church. The Morning Call included the play in its "Top Ten Lehigh Valley Theater Productions of 2012" list, stating that Brown's performance was "powerful as the idealistic and sincere Father Flynn."
Lehigh Valley Stage also recognized Doubt: A Parable and Chicago, performed at Cedar Crest last February, as honorable mentions in their "Best Show of 2012" list.
"Clearly, I am honored and humbled to be recognized for my work, particularly given the amazing work that was done throughout the Lehigh Valley this year," said Brown. "I was thrilled that Cedar Crest was praised for our production of Chicago, and hope that my own work outside of the College serves as a strong representation of the strength of the performing arts here at Cedar Crest."
