Spanish Minor
Expand your career opportunities with a minor in Spanish.
Interested in enhancing your resume and your understanding of another culture and language? Because Cedar Crest’s Spanish minor can be completed in just 18 credits, it is easy to add a Spanish minor to most academic focuses. Our Spanish faculty works closely with all other departments to ensure that it is possible for students to complete a Spanish minor while pursuing other academic tracks.
Because of the growing Hispanic population in the Lehigh Valley and the United states, adding a Spanish minor can enhance virtually any future career. Cedar Crest students have combined a Spanish minor with nearly every academic major, including:
- Business
- Criminal Justice
- Education (all levels)
- Health professions (pre-med, pre-dentistry)
- Nursing
- Nutrition
- Psychology
- Social Work
Course Requirements
The Spanish minor requires a core of the following Spanish courses:
- SPA 301 Conversation and Composition (3 credits)
- SPA 302 Advanced Conversation and Composition (3 credits)
Students must choose 12 additional elective courses at any level.
