COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT CEDAR CREST FAST TRACK EARLY REGISTRATION

WHO CAN ATTEND FAST TRACK?
Fast Track is open to all newly enrolled and accepted traditional age first year and transfer students.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REGISTERING FOR COURSES EARLY?
For many students it removes a huge stress associated with transitioning to college and a new experience.  Getting to know the curriculum earlier will set you on the path to success during your entire time here. In addition, you will start to understand what we mean by the “Cedar Crest experience”: Faculty who are truly engaged and want to get to know your interests and a close knit community where your academic pursuits can be as multi-dimensional as you are.

I AM STILL MAKING MY FINAL COLLEGE CHOICE. SHOULDN’T I DO THAT FIRST BEFORE ATTENDING A FAST TRACK DAY?
We want you to attend even if you are still making your final decision. It’s an opportunity for us to provide you with in depth information about the academic programs at Cedar Crest which will be invaluable during your decision making process.

I LIVE 200 MILES OR MORE AWAY AND CAN’T ATTEND ANY OF THE FAST TRACK DAYS. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
If distance presents a challenge, contact our Admissions Office at admissions@cedarcrest.edu or 800-360-1222. We will help you arrange an opportunity to develop a fall semester course schedule on the telephone. Students who register for courses by phone will not be eligible for the $100 book award.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY SCHEDULE AFTER MY FAST TRACK VISIT?
Don’t worry about being locked into your schedule. You will have an opportunity to make changes over the summer. You will also meet with your advisor to make changes to your schedule during Fall Orientation.

WHAT IS THE BOOK AWARD?
The $100 book award is offered to new students who attend a Fast Track program on campus. The award will be given out at Fall Orientation and can be used in the Cedar Crest College bookstore.
