GWYNEDD-MERCY USES SECOND HALF SURGE TO DEFEAT CEDAR CREST FIELD HOCKEY
Allentown, PA (October 15, 2007) – Sophomore Rachel Orlen posted a game-high 17 saves, but it would not be enough as Gwynedd-Mercy College defeated Cedar Crest, 4-0, in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference field hockey action on Monday afternoon.
Mary Gerth came off the bench to lead Gwynedd-Mercy with two goals, while Amanda Reppert added one goal and one assist on the day.
Orlen, who ranks second in the country in saves per game, held the Griffins to just one goal in the first half.
The Falcons, who fall to 0-14 overall, will be back in action on Thursday, October 18 when they host Philadelphia Bible College at 4:00 p.m.
