ERVIN NAMED HEAD SOCCER COACH OF MINOR LEAGUE FRANCHISE PENNSYLVANIA STONERS
Allentown, PA (January 17, 2008) – Cedar Crest College’s head soccer coach Todd Ervin has been named the head coach of the Pennsylvania Stoners, a franchise of the National Premier Soccer League, announced by Stoners president Bob Ehrlich on Friday, January 4.
Ervin just finished his first season as the head coach of the Falcons, who went 4-13 overall and 1-9 in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action. He is extremely excited about his new opportunity and believes it will only help his program at Cedar Crest. “This opportunity will help Cedar Crest get even more exposure and will help with recruiting athletes in the Lehigh Valley area,” says Ervin.
Ervin most recently served as Moravian College’s assistant coach for the men’s soccer team for three seasons. A 1998 graduate of Muhlenberg College, Ervin was All-Centennial Conference for three seasons and twice named a NSCAA Regional All-American. Ervin also played professionally for the South Jersey Barons and is currently a Professional Soccer Trainer for LMYA, Macungie, PA. He received a BA in Communications from Muhlenberg and is currently pursuing an MBA at Moravian College.
The Stoners plan to announce where they will play as well as ticket packages and pricing in the coming weeks. The team opens play in the Northeast Division of the NPSL on May 18.
