BRITT SCORES TWICE TO LEAD SOCCER TO 7-0 WIN OVER VALLEY FORGE CHRISTIAN
Allentown, PA (September 5, 2007) – Freshman Tiffany Britt scored two goals to lead the Cedar Crest soccer team to a 7-0 win over visiting Valley Forge Christian College in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore C.J. Krise scored what would be the eventual game-winning goal just 4:32 into the contest to give the Falcons the 1-0 advantage.
Senior Michelle Myers notched her first goal of the season with 19:53 remaining in the first half. Britt posted back-to-back goals with under 10 minutes remaining in the first half to help earn Cedar Crest a 4-0 halftime lead.
Freshman Tabitha King posted the first goal of her collegiate career with 31:07 remaining in the contest. Senior Danielle Skinner took a pass from sophomore Brittany Clouser at the 6:49 mark before Clouser tallied the final goal of the contest off of a pass from Krise with 3:12 remaining.
The Falcons improve to 1-1 on the season, while Valley Forge falls to 0-3.
Cedar Crest will travel to Williamsport, PA to take on Lycoming College on Saturday, September 8 at 1:00 p.m.
