CEDAR CREST TENNIS ADDS WIN OVER MARYWOOD
Allentown, PA (October 3, 2007) – The Cedar Crest tennis team added yet another win to its impressive season with a 7-2 victory over Pennsylvania Athletic Conference opponent Marywood University on Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Colleen Ford and sophomore Laura Shivley notched an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles action, while sophomore Sara Messner and freshman Sarah Schopf posted an 8-4 doubles victory in the No. 3 spot.
Sophomore Maria Mallery posted a 7-5 victory over Ryann Null in No. 1 singles action, while Shivley added a victory at the No. 2 singles slot. Freshman Alex Kuebler posted a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles action and Schopf added a triumph in the No. 5 doubles spot. Ford improved to 7-2 in singles action with an 8-2 win in the No. 6 singles spot.
Cedar Crest improves to 9-2 (5-2 PAC) on the season and will travel to Misericordia University on Friday, October 5 at 3:30 p.m.
