TENNIS ADDS ANOTHER NOTCH IN THE WIN COLUMN WITH WIN OVER PENN STATE BERKS
Reading, PA (September 17, 2007) – Cedar Crest added another notch to its win column with a 5-4 victory over Penn State Berks in non-league competition on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore Maria Mallery and Freshman Alex Kuebler were winners for the Falcons in the No. 1 doubles spot. Mallery and Kuebler defeated Ashley Averbach and Nicole Cresswell, 8-6, for the victory.
Mallery posted a win in No. 1 singles action over Cresswell, while sophomore Sara Messner posted a win over Holly Woodcock in the No. 3 singles slot.
Freshman Amy Dichter added her second win of the season in No. 6 doubles action with a win over Steph Williams.
Mallery and Kuebler still remain undefeated in doubles action.
Cedar Crest improves to 5-1 (1-1 PAC) on the season and will host Alvernia College on Wednesday, September 19 at 3:30 p.m.
