CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL NOTCHES WIN OVER PENN STATE BERKS
Allentown, PA (October 11, 2007) – Sophomore Mackenzie Lee posted 12 service aces and 10 kills as the Cedar Crest College volleyball team outlasted Penn State Berks, 3-0, in non-conference action on Thursday evening in Lees Gymnasium.
The Falcons won by scores of 33-31, 30-21, and 30-9.
Lee, who ranks 19th in the nation with .98 service aces per game, set a new career-high 12 service aces. Ironically, Lee’s previous career-high was set on September 21, 2006 when she posted 10 service aces in a win over Penn State Berks.
Freshman Keri Lasky had a team-high 11 digs, while sophomore Kelly Oakes added 11 kills and six digs. Freshman Lauren Seale posted 28 assists and six digs in the victory.
Cedar Crest is now 8-11 (2-4 PAC) on the season and will host the College of Notre Dame in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action on Homecoming this Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m.
