CROSS COUNTRY PICKED TO FINISH FOURTH IN PAC COACHES’ POLL

Aston, PA (August 29, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team was picked to finish fourth in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) coaches’ poll released on Wednesday. 

Marywood University, the five-time defending Conference Champion, was selected to finish first after receiving eight of the nine first-place votes for a total of 80 points. 

Gwynedd Mercy College finished second with 71 points and one first-place vote, while Misericordia University nabbed the third place spot with 65 points. 

Cedar Crest (48), Alvernia College (45), Cabrini College (36), Immaculata University (23), Eastern University (19), and Centenary College (18) rounded out the voting. 

The Cross Country team, which finished fourth in the PAC last season, will travel to Marywood University to compete in the Marywood Labor Day Invitational, starting at 10:15 am.  The Cross Country team will be led by ninth-year head coach Dan Donohue.
