CEDAR CREST LANDS FIFTH PLACE FINISH AT MULE/FALCON CLASSIC

Allentown, PA (September 15, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team finished fifth out of twelve schools in the 13^th annual Mule/Falcon Classic held on the campus of Cedar Crest on Saturday morning.   

Sophomore Tasha Jones was the top finisher for the Falcons in 12^th place overall in a time of 21:52.2.  Graduate student Renee Crane, the second place finisher for Cedar Crest, notched the 25^th spot overall in a time of 22:53.1.  Senior Lauren Sanders took the third spot for the Falcons and 30^th overall with a finishing time of 23:03.4. 

Freshman Kristen Geisinger finished in 32^nd overall and fourth for Cedar Crest at the 23:19.1 mark and junior Thersia Ault notched 41^st overall and fifth for the Falcons in a time of 24:17.8. 

Muhlenburg College took the top spot of the day with 46 team points.  Division II Georgian Court finished in one point behind Muhlenburg to take second place and Misericordia University added a third place finish with 75 team points.  Bryn Mawr notched fourth place with 90 points and Cedar Crest placed fifth with 124 points.  Penn State Berks (154), Eastern University (197), Centenary College (239), and Immaculata (250) rounded out the scoring for the women.
