CEDAR CREST CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT WOMEN’S 5K CLASSIC AGAINST CANCER

Allentown, PA (October 13, 2007) – The Cedar Crest College women’s cross country team competed for a good cause at the Women’s 5K Classic Against Cancer held at the Lehigh Parkway Park. 

Sophomore Tasha Jones posted a ninth place finish overall with a time of 21:46.  Jones finished second in her age group out of 95 runners.  Senior Lauren Sanders notched a 14th place finish in a time of 22:20, finishing third in her age group. 

Graduate student Renee Crane added a 17th place finish overall in at time of 22:31, while freshman Kristen Geisinger posted a 19th place finish overall in a time of 22:41.   

The Falcons will next compete in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship held at Alvernia College on Saturday, October 27th.
