KEYSTONE FIELD HOCKEY OUTLASTS CEDAR CREST IN OVERTIME

Allentown, PA (September 30, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped a 1-0 overtime heartbreaker to Keystone College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Kellina Yarnish scored the game-winner in overtime 3:03 into the extra period after a hard-fought contest between CSAC rivals. 

Cedar Crest and Keystone each tallied six penalty corners in the game, while the Giants outshot the Falcons, 16-4.

Junior Rachel Orlen made 10 stops in the cage for the Falcons.    

Cedar Crest falls to 2-6 overall (1-2 CSAC), while Keystone improves to 5-4 overall (2-1 CSAC).

Cedar Crest will travel to Arcadia University on Thursday, October 2 at 4:00 p.m. in non-conference action.
