CABRINI COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE PLAY WITH WIN OVER CEDAR CREST

Allentown, PA (October 18, 2008) – Cabrini College remained undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference play with a convincing 7-1 win over host Cedar Crest College on Saturday afternoon. 

Lauren Alessi, Kate Ryan, and Maura Gordan each tallied two goals to lead the Cavaliers over Cedar Crest, while Lynda Kauffman also posted a goal.

Freshman Emily Seifert scored her second goal of the season off of a pass from sophomore Jen Decky with just over six minutes remaining in the contest for the Falcons.

Cedar Crest junior Rachel Orlen posted 19 saves on the day, while Cabrini’s Caitlin Donohue posted two stops.

Cedar Crest falls to 2-11 overall (1-5 CSAC), while Cabrini improves to 13-4 overall (7-0 CSAC). 

The Falcons will host the College of Notre Dame on Monday, October 20 at 4:00 p.m. in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
