FIELD HOCKEY LOSES ON THE ROAD AT BRYN MAWR IN NON-LEAGUE ACTION

Bryn Mawr, PA (September 4, 2008) – The Bryn Mawr College field hockey team used a big second half to down Cedar Crest College, 2-0, on Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.

Kati Zaylor scored the game-winner 5:24 into the second half to give Bryn Mawr the 1-0 lead.

Caroline Heffernan then added an insurance goal with three minutes remaining in the second half.

Junior Rachel Orlen posted a season-high 24 saves in the cage for the Falcons, while Elizabeth Toft posted one save on the day. 

Bryn Mawr improves to 1-1 on the season, while Cedar Crest falls to 0-2.

Cedar Crest will host Wilson College on Tuesday, September 9 at 4:00 p.m. in non-league action.
