STEVENSON HANDS FIELD HOCKEY LOSS IN NON-LEAGUE ACTION

Owings Mills, MD (September 13, 2008) – Stevenson University used a big first half to help post a 4-0 win over Cedar Crest College field hockey on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.

Kelli Batista opened the scoring for Stevenson with a goal 12:42 into the contest.  Margaret Wolfe then took a pass from Batista to make the score, 2-0 at the 14:09 mark.  Krissy Leventis added the last goal in the first half with 12:30 remaining.

Alana Warren posted a goal with just over one minute left in the contest to end the scoring at 4-0. 

Junior Rachel Orlen posted 13 saves in the cage for the Falcons, while Victoria Wolfe posted one save. 

Cedar Crest falls to 0-3 overall, while Stevenson improves to 3-2 on the season.

Cedar Crest will travel to Rosemont College on Wednesday, September 17 at 4:00 p.m. in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.
