CEDAR CREST FIELD HOCKEY FALLS 2-0 TO ST. VINCENT

Allentown, PA (September 19, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College field hockey team dropped a 2-0 loss to St. Vincent College on Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

Samantha Larkin posted a goal 10:48 into the start of the first half to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead.

Maryellen Baverso then added an insurance goal with just over five minutes remaining in the first half of play.

Junior Rachel Orlen made eight saves in the cage for the Falcons.

St. Vincent held an 11-8 shot advantage, while also holding an 8-6 advantage in penalty corners.

Cedar Crest falls to 1-4 overall, while St. Vincent improves to 2-3 overall.

Cedar Crest will host Hood College this Saturday, September 20 at 1:00 p.m. in non-league action.
