CEDAR CREST LACROSSE DROPS TOUGH LOSS TO IMMACULATA IN CONFERENCE ACTION

Immaculata, PA (April 3, 2008) – The Immaculata University lacrosse team posted a 12-5 victory over Cedar Crest College on Thursday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action. 

Immaculata took an early 3-0 lead before sophomore Brittany Symbol notched Cedar Crest’s first goal of the contest at the 13:45 mark to make it 3-1.  The Might Macs tallied three more goals before senior Bri Adam posted a goal with 5:35 remaining in the first half to put the score at 6-2 in favor of Immaculata at the half. 

Immaculata would the next six goals before Adam posted her second goal of the game at the 11:46 mark in the second half.  Symbol and sophomore Amanda Dombroski each added a goal for the Falcons over the final five minutes of the contest.  

The Mighty Macs were led by Rebecca Whitman who tallied a game-high four goals and posted one assist.

The Falcons fall to 1-8 (1-5 PAC) on the season, while Immaculata improves to 1-4 (1-3 PAC).

The Falcons will travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College on Saturday, April 5 at 1:00 p.m. in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference action.
