DEVLIN NAMED CEDAR CREST OUTSTANDING ATHLETE AT LVAIAW LUNCHEON

Bethlehem, PA (May 1, 2008) – Senior Melanie Devlin (Forestburgh, NY/Monticello) was named the Cedar Crest College Outstanding Athlete at the annual Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women luncheon on Thursday afternoon at Moravian College.

Devlin was been a key member of the Cedar Crest softball team for the past four seasons.  A team captain, Devlin caught all but six games over the course of her career at Cedar Crest.  She also batted over .300 during her four-year campaign. 

Devlin will graduate in May with a double major in art and theater.     

Cedar Crest ended the season with a 14-20 (7-13 PAC) overall record.
