PENN STATE BERKS TOPS CEDAR CREST SOCCER IN NON-LEAGUE PLAY

Allentown, PA (October 28, 2008) – The Cedar Crest soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Penn State Berks on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play in the strong wind and rain.

Penn State scored first to take an early 1-0 lead before freshman Jessica Reed scored the first goal of her collegiate career at the 17 minute mark to tie the contest, 1-1, in the first half.

Penn State would then score two unanswered goals in the second half of play for the win.

The Falcons fall to 1-15 overall on the season.  Cedar Crest will host Cabrini College on Thursday, October 30 at 4:00 p.m. against

Cabrini College in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.  Thursday will be senior day and honor the Falcons’ lone senior Carrie Olson.
