CEDAR CREST SOCCER FALLS TO MARYWOOD IN CSAC PLAY

Allentown, PA (September 23, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College soccer team fell, 7-0, to Colonial State Athletic Conference foe Marywood University on Tuesday afternoon in league action.

Kaitlyn Miller tallied two quick goals for the Pacers just over 10 minutes into the contest.  Leslie Higham added a third goal at the 22:53 mark before Claudia Mazza notched the fourth goal for Marywood with14:05 remaining in the first half.  Amanda Costello posted the final goal for the Pacers in the first half with 12:08 left.

Kelcie Reightler and Taylor Simmons added two second half goals for Marywood.

Freshman goalie April Johnson posted a game-high 25 saves for the Falcons.

Cedar Crest falls to 0-6 overall (0-2 CSAC) on the season, while Marywood improves to 4-4-1 overall (1-0 CSAC).

The Falcons will host Gwynedd-Mercy College on Saturday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m. in CSAC action.
