JOHNSON NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (September 30, 2008) – Freshman soccer goalie April Johnson (Wyalusing, PA/Wyalusing) was named the Cedar Crest College Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play in the week ending September 29.

Johnson made a game-high 25 saves in goal for Cedar Crest in a 7-0 setback to Marywood University last Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Johnson currently ranks fifth in the country, averaging 18.6 saves per game.    

Cedar Crest is currently 0-6 (0-2 CSAC) overall on the season.

The Falcons will travel to Centenary College on Wednesday, October 1 at 4:00 p.m. in CSAC action.
