SHIVELY NAMED CEDAR CREST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Allentown, PA (September 15, 2008) – Junior Laura Shively (Allenstown, NH/Pembroke Academy) was named the Cedar Crest College Athlete of the Week for her outstanding play in the week ending September 14.

Shively went 3-0 this past week at the No. 3 singles position.  She also posted a win at No. 1 doubles and two wins at No. 2 doubles.  She helped the Falcons post  back-to-back conference wins over Baptist Bible and Philadelphia Biblical. 

She is currently 4-1 overall in singles action and 4-1 overall in doubles action this season. 

Cedar Crest is currently 3-3 overall on the season.

The Falcons will travel to Alvernia College on Tuesday, September 16 at 3:30 p.m. for a non-league match.
