CEDAR CREST TENNIS WINS AGAIN IN VICTORY OVER ST. ELIZABETH

Allentown, PA (September 23, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College tennis defeated the College of St. Elizabeth, 9-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon. 

Junior Maria Mallery and sophomore Alex Kuebler each went 2-0 on the day with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively and also with a win at the No. 1 doubles slot. 

Junior Laura Shively posted a team-best 10-0 victory in No. 3 singles action, while also helping junior Sara Messner post a win in No. 2 doubles action.  Messner, who leads the team with an 8-2 overall record, posted a win in No. 4 singles action as well.  Sophomores Amy Dichter and Sarah Schopf each earned wins at No. 5 and 6 singles, as well as in No. 3 doubles.

Cedar Crest improves to 6-4 overall (2-1 CSAC). 

The Falcons will host Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Immaculata University on Thursday, September 25 at 3:30 p.m.
