CEDAR CREST TENNIS WINS SIXTH OUT OF LAST SEVEN GAMES IN VICTORY OVER IMMACULATA

Allentown, PA (September 25, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College tennis topped the Mighty Macs of Immaculata University, 7-2, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Thursday evening to improve to 3-1 in the league.

Sophomore Alex Kuebler posted a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles, while junior Sara Messner added a victory in No. 4 singles action.  Sophomores Amy Dichter and Sarah Schopf notched wins at the No. 5 and 6 singles spots, respectively. 

Junior Maria Mallery and Kuebler handed Immaculata an 8-1 loss in No. 1 doubles, while junior Laura Shively and Messner posted a win in No. 2 doubles with an 8-5 victory. 

Dichter and Schopf sealed the victory for the Falcons with an 8-1 win in No. 3 doubles action. 

Cedar Crest improves to 7-4 overall (3-1 CSAC). 

The Falcons will travel to Colonial States Athletic Conference opponent Gwynedd-Mercy College on Saturday, September 27 at 12:00 p.m.
