CEDAR CREST VOLLEYBALL SPLITS IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION

Allentown, PA (September 25, 2008) – The Cedar Crest College volleyball team defeated Rutgers-Camden, 3-0, but fell to Delaware Valley College, 3-0, in non-conference action on Thursday evening in Lees Gymnasium.

The Falcons topped Rutgers-Camden by scores of 25-23, 25-23, and 25-15, but fell by scores of 25-12, 25-20, and 25-18 to Delaware Valley.

Junior Kelly Oakes led the way for the Falcons in the win with nine kills and nine digs.  Junior Mackenzie Lee added a team-high 11 digs, while junior Amanda Dombroski and freshman Katey Dauble each added 10 digs.

Oakes also added nine kills and nine digs in the loss for Cedar Crest, while Lee added six kills and 17 digs.

Cedar Crest improves to 4-13 overall on the season.

The Falcons will travel to Marywood University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday, September 30 at 7:00 p.m.
