VOLLEYBALL DROPS 3-1 LOSS TO MARYWOOD IN CONFERENCE ACTION

Scranton, PA (September 30, 2008) – Marywood University posted a 3-1 win over visiting Cedar Crest College Tuesday evening in women's volleyball action at Marywood's Insalaco Arena in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.

Marywood defeated Cedar Crest by scores of: 25-21, 25-12, 24-26, and 25-13.

Cedar Crest sophomore Lauren Seale led the way for the Falcons, posting 15 assists and nine digs in the loss.  Junior Kelly Oakes tallied a team-high 10 digs for Cedar Crest. 

Marywood’s Emily Fillman led the charge for the Pacers with a game-high 12 kills and seven digs.

The win improves the Pacers to 4-10 overall while the Falcons fall to 4-14 (0-4 CSAC).

 The Falcons will host Philadelphia Biblical University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m.
